You Rock Lab!

Cadets will select a rock to create a short slide show about, only two to three slides.  Samples of interesting rocks have been provided for you to look at, and decide which you would like to research.  The slide show should include the name of the rock you are studying, and how it is made....in other words... is it igneous and how are igneous rocks made?  Is it sedimentary and how are sedimentary rocks made?  Is it metamorphic and how are metamorphic rocks made?  Then do some research and tell me where you can find this type of rock.  Also, I would like to know if it has any industrial uses, such as construction, roads, decorative landscaping, historic weapons, or other uses.  Please include at least two pictures.  This project is due on Monday the 16th of May.  This is our last lab of the school year.  Please use full sentences and good spelling, and DO NOT cut and paste information from web sites.  I want your own words.  You all ROCK and I hope you have an excellent summer!
