Shots

Now that we know how to use the camera, what are we going to do with it? Depending on the story we're trying to tell, we may use different shots to invoke different "feelings" in our scene. The way you shoot a scene is just as important as what you shoot. Watch this video to see what kinds of shots are out there:

Now, think about what each shot says about the scene. When would you use an extreme close-up? When would you use a jib-shot? Understanding how to pick the best shot for the scene you're shooting is what separates the ametures from the professionals.
